I make and sell everything from zombie magnets, superhero pickle ornaments, Sucrose kids (sugar high little critters), abandoned jack-o-lanterns and of course the occasional pink kitty. I make castle topped mountains with secret compartments, elegant angels and dragon ornaments too.

I am drawn towards clay as my medium but other bits and pieces always find their way into my sculptures. A bit of paper that cries out to be a jacket, a scrap of cardboard that wants to be a hat, a gorgeous blue glass bottle that turns out is actually a gypsy's body...just waiting to be finished. So I have accepted that I am actually a mixed media artist. If I can glue it, wire it, paint it, sand it or attach it to a clay sculpture in some way then chances are I'm going to do it. I like to think it gives a little more depth to a clay figure, a little more...dare I say it? Character! That's what I'm all about, making little characters that are fun or funky.

 

If they make me smile then I'm pleased and if they wind up in a good home, so much the better.
I have 15 years of hands on craft-ing and art-ing experience and 15 years of *practice* before that. Oh dear....I've just given my age away......

The "Eggs and Bacon" line for twins, best friends, or siblings...created in honor of my "Irish Twins" who are 15 months apart.

I am a BIG fan of the alphabet..especially T's & J's...but thought I'd step it up a notch with a more.., let's just say...ROCKIN' design.

It started with some shoes...

and a little sum'thin for the ladies...

That's why I loved the concept of "Teething Bling".  These are chewable pendants  & bracelets (and toddlers...in my case) that are safe to pull and chew on.  Here are just a few samples...

• two sandals (I wear daily)  - both strappy Tevas (better than barefoot...LOVE THEM!)
• 1 "fancy" shoe...simple black pump for weddings...and extra-special date nights.
• 1 gym shoe...aka: "pretending to go to the gym shoe"
• and....drum roll, please...my classic red converse sneaks.  (I don't wear these shoes often - but they are really the only ones I am passionate about...because they scream "Traci").

Today, I made a pair of cherry shoes, funky flower shoes, motivational shoes & modern daisy shoes.

Tonight, I will be working on "alligator foot" shoes...and "pretty princess shoes"...custom design requests from my kiddos....

I've never, ever been so shoe-addicted in my life...

I was just watching Reality TV...and surfing Etsy (my two favorite things to do in the evenings) when happened upon these sweet little felt baby booties.  I've was always a big fan of "Robeez" for my kids but frankly, I am liking these handcrafted felt versions much better.

Now I just need to decide between the cream leaf pattern or baby bunny design for my little niece (who should  be arriving from Ethiopia with her new mommy any day now).

The price is also very reasonable at $20.00 per pair.

I literally found this website a few hours after scraping a Fourth of July flag tattoo off of my daughter's arm.  The darn thing stayed on for three days!  

Now, I am having one of those...slap the forehead - why didn't I think of that?  - moments.  (I think I have a permanent forehead bruised from all of the brilliant things *other* moms have thought of).

Anyway - this one is one of the brilliant-ist by far.   =) 

I used to be a social worker and spent much of my summer retrieving young children who wandered from home or who got lost at a park or carnival. 

It never failed...even the children who probably rehearsed their name and phone numbers with a parent over...and over...got cases of stage fright. 

What's your name?  "um - I don't know".

What's your mommy's name?  "um - mommy".

Where do you live?  "In a blue house". 

We always found the rightful owners to the wayward children...however, it is nice not to spare a moment (or a trip to the police station) while looking for a parent. 

I am buying a few "tats" as we speak.  They are stinkin' cute, plus - they last over a week.  (If they are anything like the flag tattoo - they'd probably last until the child hits jr. high).
