Crazy for Guinea Pigs
I am not sure how it started, exactly. My daughter mentioned wanting a hamster for her 5th birthday a few months ago.
No offence to hamster lovers - but I am not a big fan. They are a little too delicate...too squirmy and I had visions of it running under our couch only to be lost forever....
So, I started searching for alternatives and found this article - about best "first pets" from one of my favorite parenting magazines. Now, I want a guinea pig more than my daughter does.
OMG - could they BE any CUTER?
I will be headed to the pet store shortly to pick up all of the piggy essentials - a cage, a pig cozy - sleeping tent, some veggies, and some accessories. A pig owner needs to accessorize! =)
