The Alphabet ROCKS! A Little Bit "Grungy" T’s & Shoes for Kids & Babies

So, as the mom of a preschooler & toddler..I am growing tired of the ABC-stuff….primary colors…pastels…”A is for Apple…” - blah, blah, blah…

I am a BIG fan of the alphabet..especially T’s & J’s…but thought I’d step it up a notch with a more.., let’s just say…ROCKIN’ design.

It started with some shoes…

Followed by a boys’ T….

and a little sum’thin for the ladies…

Cute…Meets Useful: Teething Bling…the "Chewable Jewels"

I’ll never forget the day that my sweet little boy yanked so hard on my favorite necklace that he shot beads across the aisle of my church and into the lap of the women sitting next to us.  “Um..I’ll grab those later…sorry!”. 

That’s why I loved the concept of “Teething Bling”.  These are chewable pendants  & bracelets (and toddlers…in my case) that are safe to pull and chew on.  Here are just a few samples…

Custom "Kicks" by Keds

In real life…I am not much of a shoe person…in fact, I think I own 5 pairs….

• two sandals (I wear daily)  - both strappy Tevas (better than barefoot…LOVE THEM!)
• 1 “fancy” shoe…simple black pump for weddings…and extra-special date nights.
• 1 gym shoe…aka: “pretending to go to the gym shoe”
• and….drum roll, please…my classic red converse sneaks.  (I don’t wear these shoes often - but they are really the only ones I am passionate about…because they scream “Traci”).

With the launch of Zazzle’s new Ked’s shoe creation tool…I am suddenly a shoe-freak!

Today, I made a pair of cherry shoes, funky flower shoes, motivational shoes & modern daisy shoes.

Tonight, I will be working on “alligator foot” shoes…and “pretty princess shoes”…custom design requests from my kiddos….

I’ve never, ever been so shoe-addicted in my life…

I am on a diet (actually - I am in sugar-rehab for a few months) so naturally, I head straight for the “candy” category while perusing Etsy.com this evening.  Here’s what I found….

Super Sweet! Felt Baby Booties

I was just watching Reality TV…and surfing Etsy (my two favorite things to do in the evenings) when happened upon these sweet little felt baby booties.  I’ve was always a big fan of “Robeez” for my kids but frankly, I am liking these handcrafted felt versions much better.

Now I just need to decide between the cream leaf pattern or baby bunny design for my little niece (who should  be arriving from Ethiopia with her new mommy any day now).

The price is also very reasonable at $20.00 per pair.
